Faculty of Agricultural Management

Faculty of Agricultural Management is composed of two departments of Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Extension and Education and located in new campus of the University. At the moment, this faculty has nine academic members who carry out educational and research activities in various fields including food security, production economics, agricultural policy, farm management, risk management, sustainable agricultural development, economics of natural resources and environment, agri-entrepreneurship, agricultural technology management,  agricultural extension, agricultural education, innovation adoption, agricultural technology diffusion, nature conservation, natural resources management, and environmental and agricultural ethics.

The Department of Agricultural Economics was began its activities with three academic members and twenty-five Bachelor students. The mission of Agricultural Economics Department is to provide and develop required skills for students to analyze market and technical forces affecting the agricultural sector and to make informed business decisions. Graduates of Agricultural Economics Department have many career opportunities including working as economists for state and national level agencies, professional farm or ranch managers, commodities traders, marketing managers, economic research analysts and agricultural policy makers. The academic members of Department pursue their research in the fields of food security, production economics, agricultural policy, farm management and accounting, risk management, agricultural development, water economics and economics of natural resources and environment.

The mission of Department of Agricultural Extension and Education is to develop, support and lead the professionals in agricultural extension and education and communicate practical knowledge and technology to help agricultural and rural development through outreach programs. The department has valuable experience and capacity to provide training, extension, research and advisory services to society. The department is committed to preparing students for success in professions that include formal and non-formal education, learning in agriculture, leading agricultural organizations and rural communities, and also conducting interdisciplinary researches.
